The file defining mailing list subscribers is poisson:/var/aliases/global-aliases. Database rebuilding and propogation is done nightly so unless it's really urgent there is no further action necessary.
Certain mailing lists are defined externally in files possible controlled by the a mailing list adminstrator. For example, the "fellows" mailing list is web3:/var/generic/mail/fellows; note that they are on web3 though there is nothing to suggest this on poisson.
Other files that define redirections are in poisson:/var/aliases/manual.aliases and poisson:/var/aliases/other.aliases.
