    As root on nfs2 run /usr/server/newuser and follow the prompts. If the user requires adding to any mailing lists ....

  • Creating accounts - for VLT users
  • Then create an account on all the VLT machines. There is a script on nfs2:~ahuxley/dev/add_vlt_user/add_vlt_user which can be run as root which will do this for you. It takes one parameter which is a string that if grep'ed for in the ESO NIS domain's YP passwd database will extract the user concerned.
