1.      Requirements

1.1.    Compile-time requirements

	GNU make
	perl version 5

1.2.	Run-time requirements

	None

2.      Compilation 

	As non-root set the install time directories by running:
		
		cd <directory_with_settings.mk_in_it>
		support/shppconfigure <name_of_this_package>

	It is like that this will not be able to guess several destination
	directories, so, as instructed by the output, supply options to 
	specify them. 

	Once it has run with out errors, then review the contents of
	paths.mk and paths.shpp.

	Then run:

		vi settings.mk

	and edit the settings there according to comments. 

	Then run:

		make

3.	Installation

	As a user with suitable privileges run:

        	make install

4.      Configuration

	No configuration is required.

5.	Running the program

	See the accompanying manual pages.
