*) You must be connected to the internet to read your email
   (see the "How to Connect to the Internet" HOWTO for details).

*) Start a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Firefox).
   (See the "How to use a Web Browser" HOWTO for more some 
   basics.)

*) Enter the URL of the webmail service you use (e.g.
   www.hotmail.co.uk or www.yahoo.co.uk) and press <ENTER>.
   (Do you want to bookmark your webmail site to save yourself
   a little typing?  See the "How to use a Web Browser" HOWTO 
   for details).

*) Follow the prompts presented by the web page that gets
   displayed.

*) When you have finished reading mail, then there might be
   a "logout" button on the web page; this will not disconnect
   you from the internet or log you out of your own PC; it 
   will ensure that if someone uses your PC immediately after
   you then they will not be able to read your mail. It
   is up to you if you want to "logout" or not.

*) Close the browser.

*) Disconnect from the internet.
