ADE

What this program does
----------------------

With ADE you can:

    * rapidly develop shell and Perl programs
    * release them without 'configure' and 'install' scripts
    * use its components together or independently

Installation
------------

Installation instructions are provided in two files:

    * doc/INSTALL.generic
    * doc/INSTALL

The first describes generic installation instructions for any
ADE-based application. The second describes any special instructions
for this application. INSTRUCTIONS IN INSTALL OVERRIDE INSTRUCTIONS
IN INSTALL.generic.

You should read both before you begin installation.

Further documentation
---------------------

If you are installing ADE only to satisfy the requirements of another
program you will install, then you do not need to read any of ADE's
documentation.

If you are installing ADE to develop an ADE-based application, then
the following man pages are good places to start reading:

    * adegmt(1)
